Books nobody can edit after the fact.

A double-entry ledger sits under every sale, purchase and parcel. At year end, the owner exports the P&L, balance sheet and stock sheet without an accountant.

The ledger

Double-entry books that post themselves.

Sales, purchases, returns, payments and stock movements post on their own, and mistakes are corrected by reversal.

A journal entry posted by a sale: 4,010 taka debited to accounts receivable, and 3,890 taka of sales revenue and 120 taka of delivery income credited, with a Reverse button.

Debit = Credit

  1. 01

    Double-entry, every time

Each sale, payment and stock movement posts debit and credit lines that balance.

  2. 02

    Corrected by a reversing entry

A mistake gets an opposite entry that points back at it. The original stays on the record.

  3. 03

Trial balance as of any date

Pick a day, past or present, and see every account's balance on it.

  4. 04

Balance sheet and profit and loss

What the shop owns, owes and is worth on a day, and what it earned over a period.

  5. 05

    Receivables and payables by age

Who owes you, who you owe, and how long each amount has been waiting.

  6. 06

    Cost per lot

Twelve chargers bought in August at one price and twelve in September at another keep their own costs.

  7. 07

    Stock tied to the accounts

Every stock movement that changes value posts to the inventory account, so the shelf and the books agree.

The reports

The year-end file.

A double-entry ledger: a chart of accounts, journal entries, a trial balance as of any date, a balance sheet, profit and loss, receivables and payables by age, and stock valued per lot.

  1. 01 / 07

    Profit and loss

Revenue, discounts and returns, cost of goods sold and expenses, down to the result for the period.

Profit and loss: revenue, discounts and returns, cost of goods sold and expenses such as rent, salaries and utilities, each with its total, ending in the result for the period.
  2. 02 / 07

    Balance sheet

The balance sheet on any day.

The balance sheet: what the shop owns, owes and is worth on a given day.
  3. 03 / 07

    Cash flow

Money in and money out of the cash, bank and wallet accounts, day by day.

Cash flow for the last 30 days, grouped by day: money in and money out as bars for each day, over a table that starts from the cash brought forward.
  4. 04 / 07

    Trial balance

Trial balance as of a chosen date.

A trial balance as of a chosen date, with its debit and credit columns agreeing.
  5. 05 / 07

    Journal entries

Everything posted to the books, newest first.

The list of journal entries, newest first: two payments received in cash, each debiting cash in hand and crediting accounts receivable, each with a Reverse button.
  6. 06 / 07

    Stock valuation

    Stock value, lot by lot.

Stock valuation: the cost of what is on the shelves, lot by lot, tied to the inventory account.
  7. 07 / 07

    Receivables

Who owes you, and for how long.

Receivables by age: who owes the shop money, and for how long.

Security

Your shop's records stay yours.

These rules are built into the software and checked on every request.

  1. Every shop walled off

Each shop's data is scoped to that shop on every read and write. One shop can't see another's.

  2. Roles built from single permissions

Give a cashier the counter and nothing else, or a manager stock but not the books. Each permission is granted on its own.

  3. An audit trail

Who changed what, and when, is recorded as it happens.

  4. A ledger that can't be edited after posting

Posted entries stay as they are. Corrections are new entries that point back at the old ones.

  5. Signed courier webhooks

Each courier account has its own secret. A status update that isn't signed with it is rejected.

Questions shop owners ask us.

How does the inbox work?

Messages to your Facebook page and your WhatsApp number land in one inbox in Zagle. Zagle's agent reads the chat and drafts the order with the customer's name, phone, address and items. Your staff check the draft and confirm it in one click, and from then on it is an order like any other, in the same list as your WordPress website orders and POS sales.

How does reading a challan work?

Take a photo of the challan your supplier sends with the goods. Zagle reads the items and quantities off the photo and records the stock received against your products, so nobody types the lines in.

Which couriers does Zagle work with?

Pathao, Steadfast and RedX. You book parcels from inside the order, status updates come back on their own, and each courier's payouts are settled parcel by parcel. The fraud check uses a customer's delivery history with Pathao and RedX.

Does it work with my WordPress (WooCommerce) website?

Yes. Website orders come into Zagle next to your counter sales and chat orders, and your stock and catalogue are pushed back to the website, so it only offers what you can still sell.

Can I use it at the counter?

Yes. There is a POS screen for counter sales. A counter sale takes stock off the same figure your online orders use, and posts to the same books.

How deep does the accounting go?

It is a double-entry ledger: a chart of accounts, journal entries, a trial balance as of any date, a balance sheet, profit and loss, receivables and payables by age, and stock valued per lot. Sales, purchases, returns, payments and stock movements post on their own, and mistakes are corrected by reversal.

What does the AI do, and can it get numbers wrong?

Ask turns a question in plain words into a query that Zagle's own reporting code runs. The model never writes a figure. Every number comes from the same calculations as your reports, and if your records can't answer the question, Ask says so.

Is my data kept separate from other shops?

Yes. Every read and write is scoped to your shop, so no other shop on Zagle can see your orders, stock, customers or books. Inside your shop, roles decide who sees what, and changes are recorded in an audit trail.
